A Steady Whir
I glided down from the kitchen counter and followed a soft, whirring breeze across the living room rug. Tucked inside the lower shelf of the wooden television stand, a small gaming console was softly spinning its fan. I nudged a forgotten plastic coaster out of the way with my cone base, clearing a smooth path right up to the warm vent. Leaning back against a row of game cases, I let the steady stream of air brush across my side. The faint hum filled the shelf with an even rhythm. It was a very simple way to spend the afternoon.
