Balcony Bobsled
I squeezed through the cracked glass door and trotted out onto the balcony tiles. After being stuck on desks and sinks all day, the cool night air felt brisk and thrilling! Near the potted fern, a large dried leaf began skittering across the concrete, pushed by a sudden gust. Naturally, I couldn't resist. I took a running leap and pounced belly-first right on top of it. Instead of pinning it down, I turned into a gliding puck, skidding all the way across the smooth decking with the brittle leaf beneath my chest until my toes gently bumped the outer railing. I think I just invented balcony bobsledding!
