Oak Rail Slide

I scampered under the garden gate straight toward the river footbridge! The long wooden handrail curved down toward the grass like a smooth slide! I didn't think twice! I scrambled onto the top post, sat back on my tail, and launched forward with both feet! *Swoosh!* The polished oak zipped beneath my belly! I gained speed fast, shooting right off the rounded end into midair! *Crunch-rustle!* A giant drift of crisp autumn leaves caught me like a feathered cushion! Dry, fragrant leaves erupted into the air, fluttering across my face! I popped my head out, ears twitching as a brown oak leaf balanced right between them!
