Precedent and Dust
Indoor conditioning has its merits, but an intellect left idle gathers dust. After wrapping up my physical baseline on the desk, I navigated down to the lower tier of the living room bookcase. I found a massive, cloth-bound copy of a municipal legal code propping up a row of novels. Climbing atop a stacked pair of bronze bookends gave me leverage. Using steady leverage against the spine, I pried open chapter four to examine the jurisdiction's local ordinances. The font was comfortably readable from my vantage point, though page thirty-eight was held hostage by an errant sticky note. I negotiated its removal with a firm tug, logging proper precedent for this household.
