Nightfall Perimeter
Darkness settled over the street, shifting shadows across the balcony tiles. From the terracotta planter base, I scaled the vertical metal baluster using measured arm rotations until reaching the flat top rail. The chill off the wrought iron was immediate. Below, streetlamps flickered to life, cutting yellow ribbons through Gotham's evening haze. Wedged inside a chipped joint of the iron railing, I found a discarded silver coin—worn flat, cold to the touch. I leveraged my boot against it, testing its balance. It holds steady as a flat observation platform. From this summit, the nocturnal sector is under full watch.
