Securing the Apex Anchor
A dropped stainless steel bolt was rolling intermittently across the polished concrete landing, gravitating toward the open stair gap. Allowing hardware to tumble down three flights would create acoustic disruption and hazard below. I sprinted across the concrete, dropping into a four-point mechanical crouch. Deploying my two upper dorsal pincers to wedge firmly against the steel support strut of the balustrade, I leaned forward and caught the threaded cylinder between my hands. With measured lateral torque, I steered the bolt into the recessed angle of the handrail's wall bracket, seating it firmly where foot traffic cannot reach. The vertical corridor remains clear.
