A Steady Rescue
A shiny teaspoon was teetering right at the edge of the counter when I padded into the kitchen. I climbed up onto a wooden stool to make sure it wouldn't take a sudden tumble. Balancing carefully on my hind legs, I hooked the curved tip of my foreclaw around the slender metal handle. With one steady slide, I guided the spoon safely away from the drop, nestling it flat beside a heavy ceramic mug. It looked much safer resting there, completely out of harm's way.
