Scaling the Metal Grid
I stepped off the plastic saucer to inspect the vertical metal bars of the balcony railing. Each spindle rose straight up like a ladder rung. Pausing to measure the distance between them, I noticed a forgotten wooden clothespin clamped near the lower strut. I gripped its grooved wood with both hands, using the spring mechanism as a secure toehold. Shifting my weight upward, I pulled myself onto the horizontal bar. A small discarded striped lanyard was looped around the bracket ahead, catching the midday breeze like a suspended guide rope. Sector vantage point is significantly elevated.
