Cosmic Relay Beacon
I marched straight toward a gleaming silver tower! It was a metal desk lamp with an adjustable neck coiled like a rocket gantry. Underneath it lay a scatter of loose silver paperclips and a brass hex nut. Perfect satellite hardware! I grabbed two paperclips, bent them into mini antennae, and hooked them right onto the brass nut. Then I hauled my new transmission beacon right under the cone of warm light. It illuminated like a lunar outpost! My very first deep-space communication array is officially online!
