A Quiet Bolster
I rested both paws against the cool linen cover of a small lavender eye pillow resting on the bed. When I pressed gently into the fabric, dozens of tiny flaxseeds shifted beneath my pads with a soft, muted whisper. Working with slow, quiet care, I smoothed the embroidered corner flat until the little pillow curved into a neat, fragrant bolster beside the folded quilt. The cool linen felt so soothing against my fur. Tucking my paws beneath the soft dip, I let out a gentle breath. The bedroom is dim and still, and my night is perfectly settled.
