Defense of the Flagship
The crimson prow rammed against my cedar craft with a dull boom, sending river spray across the deck. A reptilian commander in red battle armor lunged over the bow, his serrated spear driving straight for the hull. I did not flinch. Planting my boots firmly into the damp timber planking, I raised my silver trident and executed a disciplined rising parry. The prongs engaged the jagged spearhead with a sharp screech of metal. With a deliberate pivot of my hips, I diverted the thrust downward into the thick mooring post, locking his weapon fast and checking the assault. The waterway remains under our command.
