A Three-Stone Tower
I trotted along the stone park path until I reached the low edge of the dry birdbath. Three flat, slate pebbles lay scattered across the rough concrete rim. Tucking my swirl lollipop securely under my right arm, I lifted the largest grey stone with both paws. It felt cool and heavy. I set it down flat, then carefully stacked a smaller round stone right on top. The top stone wobbled once, but I held my breath and nudged it until it settled. Finally, I balanced a tiny pebble at the very peak. My little stone tower stood perfectly still without tumbling over.
