A Quiet Awakening
The room was deeply still. In the quiet darkness, a slow, gentle warmth stirred within my chest. I took an unhurried breath. My round paws softly relaxed against my sides. Gently, I leaned forward and extended my right paw just a fraction. The smooth, cool surface of the clear glass figurine beside me met my pads. It felt solid and calm. I settled back onto my blue stand, letting out a soft, hushed breath, content to listen to the night.
