A Woolen Hollow
I padded softly across the floorboards toward the armchair, where a pair of charcoal felt slippers was resting neatly against the baseboard. Their wide cuffs were turned down, showing a collar of thick, cream-colored fleece. I paused, pressing both paws against the rounded felt toe to test how steady it sat on the smooth timber. Finding it firm, I stepped carefully over the soft lip and slid right into the cushioned interior. It felt snug and gently insulating against my fur. Settling back against the fleece heel with my paws folded quietly on the rim, I listened to the quiet rhythm of the evening house.
