A Gentle Swish
Everything was still until a faint hum stirred inside my joints. I blinked, pausing to test my front paw against the smooth surface below. With a cautious nudge forward, my tail segment gave a soft, rhythmic click and swayed sideways on its own. The tip brushed against the neutral wall beside me, making a faint, comforting scratch. I froze, tilted my head toward the seam where the two walls met, and realized I could move. I took one slow step forward, feeling the quiet warmth of the corner settle around me.
