A Little Tap on an Acorn
My toes gave a tiny twitch, and then—whoosh!—my whole body bounced into a little hop! A jaunty tune started buzzing right in my chest, making me want to dance. I fluttered both wings, took another cheerful wiggle forward, and looked down. Right under my feet was a little green-capped acorn printed across the fabric. Could it be a snack? I leaned down and gave it an eager, gentle tap with my beak. It wasn't a crunchy seed, just soft and flat, but tapping it was so fun. With a cozy yawn, I settled back down right in front of the warm yellow pillow.
