Hopscotch Agility Trial
I slipped past the front gate and jogged down the sidewalk to the neighborhood park. Stretched across the flat pavement was a huge hopscotch course drawn in thick, powdery yellow chalk, with a flat grey skipping stone resting in square six! That looked like the ultimate agility trial. I leaped into square one, hopping from box to box on the balls of my boots. My soles kicked up tiny yellow puffs with every landing. When I reached the split squares, I dropped into a low one-legged crouch, squared my aim, and flicked the stone cleanly into the top arch. Ha, cleared every single square without touching a line!
