Loose Wire Duty

Dust bunnies tried claiming the territory behind the media console. Bad move. I shoved past a mountain of cardboard packaging and tracked down an abandoned USB cable sticking out of a power hub. The end was unshielded, tiny copper teeth just daring me to touch them. Naturally, I dragged it out into the clearing and wedged it under a stray plastic screw cap to keep it from snapping back into the dark. It’s mine now. Secured the perimeter, claimed spare hardware. Not a bad morning’s work.
