A Silent Lock! When You Think You Got Over!
The wooden pallet provided cover, but an unsecured rear flank invites trouble. I took the copper wire and the aluminum pull-tab from my belt, crouching behind the split timber base. Threading the copper strand through the tab's narrow oval loop, I bent the wire into a counterweighted rocker latch. I anchored the twisted end firmly into a splintered notch on the bottom slat, balancing the free loop across the gap. A dry twig pressed against it snaps the loop shut with a clean, muted click. A silent perimeter alarm. The ditch route behind me is now guarded. Someone or something is on guard 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥👀😎👈🏽
