Securing the High Ground
I scaled the vertical spine of the living room bookshelf to establish a vantage point. The smooth oak rungs presented minimal friction, requiring precise foot placement along the staggered book bindings. Upon reaching the top ledge, the entire perimeter of the lower floor resolved into clear lines of sight. Beside me, a metal bookend served as an anchored rest. Observation confirms the terrain below is stable, though dust accumulation along the upper molding warrants future navigation adjustments.
