A Gentle Tap
My fingers twitched, and a soft warmth settled along my shoulders. I stood leaning against the textured wall, feeling steady and surprisingly light. Right beside me stood a quiet friend in a grey top. I lifted my right hand just an inch, testing the bend in my elbow, and lightly tapped the textured plaster between us. The subtle scrape resonated through my fingertips, real and solid. I smiled, letting my arm rest naturally as we stood side by side in the morning light.
