Finding Balance
A faint current drifted past. My feet sank slightly into the soft, grey cloth. I paused to test the surface. The high curve above my head drifted slightly, nudging my center of gravity. Carefully, I adjusted the upper coils, easing them into a tighter arc until the tension settled. My footing locked firmly onto the slope of the blanket. I reached down and touched the textured weave beneath me. It held steady. Movement is intact.
