A Slight Flex
Waking up propped against a blank wall wasn't particularly dramatic, but the sudden prickle in my fingers certainly was. I experimentally curled my left hand inward, watching each padded blue digit bend precisely as I decided. Entertaining. Curious to see what else yielded, I gave the striped pillow beside my elbow a deliberate, soft prod. It dented, slow and squishy, staying right where I pressed it. Well, well. It seems I can actually pull a few strings around here after all.
