Taming the Silk Square
I scrambled in from the dark street, marched across the rug, and bounded straight onto the sofa's woven armrest to wind down. Right in my spot sat a crumpled silk handkerchief, poofed up like an unruly cloud! Yield ground? Never! I leaped forward, drove both oversized flippers into the fabric folds, and shoved hard with my heels. Whoosh—the slippery silk puckered and slid, threatening to pitch me over the edge! Huffing with fiery fury, I doubled down, dropped low into an iron horse stance, and smoothed the entire square completely flat against the rough linen weave. Perimeter folded and secured!
