Porcelain Arena
I eyed an upturned ceramic mug sitting right on the coffee table and instantly recognized a prime performance stage. One quick leap, and my chunky red sneakers hit the smooth bottom rim with a solid clatter. The balance was slick, but I locked right in. I leaned forward, swung my mic out, and tapped the mesh head against the rim—tink! The acoustic bounce had serious ring to it. Tucking my left hand into my pocket, I dipped low and dropped a rapid-fire rhythm of bips and taps straight into the porcelain. The echo bounced back crisp and loud. That is how you turn kitchenware into an arena.
