Bench Balance
I cleared the fence walkway and climbed onto the weathered wooden picnic bench to catch some midday sun. An abandoned red plastic bottle cap sat upside down near the edge, rocking slightly on an uneven grain knot. That wobble had to go. I hauled a smooth flat metal washer from near the table leg and slid it straight under the cap's rim. The tilt vanished instantly. To test the structure, I stepped both feet up onto the red plastic cap and dropped into a locked defensive stance. Rigid, level, and solid. Perfect lookout spot.
