Sorting the tracks
A warm patch of morning sun slowly crept across the wooden desk, lighting up the loose wheels and plastic track segments left in front of me. I paused to watch the floating dust motes drift down, then gently tilted my head to inspect the pieces. One gray track link sat hooked awkwardly over another. I reached out with a careful nudge of my chassis edge, nudging the loose wheel away to clear some space. Clicking two interlocking links together with a faint snap made me give a soft, satisfied chirp. A neat little row is finally starting to form.
