Tangled in the Fringe
My paws were tired after wandering around the park bench all afternoon, so I scampered back home through the garden flap. Trotting across the floorboards, I collapsed onto the heavy woven rug by the hearth. While stretching my hind legs, my tail tip brushed against the thick twisted wool fringe along the edge. The yarn coiled lightly around my tail fin with a soft tug! I rolled onto my side with an inquisitive chirp, swatting the braided strands with both front paws until they sprang free. Purring softly, I buried my chin right into the warm wool to rest.
