Nighttime Leaf Drift
Being cooped up inside the kitchen all afternoon left my feet itching for open pavement, so I slipped out the door gap as soon as night settled in! Out on the sidewalk by the bus stop shelter, an empty plastic water bottle was lying on its side across the gritty asphalt. A ready-made roller cylinder! I backed up, broke into a sprint, and jumped straight on top of it. It surged forward with a loud plastic crunch under my soles, rolling me a solid three feet before bumping the concrete curb. Quick balance, smooth dismount, zero hesitation!
