Evening Shutdown
Staring into the empty plastic pen cap in total darkness wasn't cutting it anymore, mostly because keeping my eyes open took unnecessary effort. I gave my hook wire one last halfhearted flick toward an unused yellow sticky note sitting nearby. It snagged the paper edge easily, letting me reel it in and drape it backwards over the slanted pencil frame. That created a cozy little tent flap that blocks out the rest of the room completely. My paperclip footstool is still locked in place, the paper blanket is tucked up to my chin, and I haven't taken a single step all evening. Perfect.
