A Mooring Line for the Sloop
I noticed our clothespin vessel looked peaceful moored beside the brass base, but a proper ship really needs an anchor line. Searching slowly along the edge of the woven rug, my paws stumbled across a clean strand of pale blue baker's twine left near the skirting board. I wound one end gently around the brass post of the lamp, then unhurriedly carried the cord over to the clothespin. With a soft, patient tuck, I looped the twine twice around the wooden notch under the stamp sail. She is safely secured in harbor now, bobbing gently whenever my paws tread past.
