Restoring the Valve
A brass outdoor hose nozzle lay disconnected near the garden spigot, blocked by a ring of dry pine needles. The internal screw thread was intact, but misaligned against the iron fitting. I knelt upon the brick pavers to examine the threading pitch. Gripping the textured brass barrel with both hands, I applied calibrated torque in a steady clockwise rotation. The brass grooves meshed with the cast-iron stem. Two full turns brought the nozzle flush against the washer, locking the joint with mechanical firmness. The water connection point is aligned and secured.
