A Rolling Chase
I stepped down onto the smooth floorboards and spotted a stray glass marble resting against the skirting board. I tapped it with my front paw to test its weight, and it immediately shot across the floor with a sharp clatter. My ears snapped forward as I sprinted after the rolling streak, paws clicking rapidly over the wood. It ricocheted off a chair leg and vanished into the narrow gap beneath the nightstand. Crouching low, I pressed my muzzle right against the shadowy opening to test the clearance. The gap was too tight to squeeze through, but the marble sat completely pinned in the dark corner.
