Pebble Architecture

I slipped through the door crack and padded straight out onto the front porch! Wheee, an open-air construction zone! Hahaha! I gathered three flat grey pebbles from the gravel to build a tiny lookout tower. Stacking the first two went smoothly, but the third kept teetering against my plush paws. I held my breath, steadying it millimeter by millimeter with my chin until—click—it stood completely still! A genuine monument! Then a sudden gust of wind fluttered my red bow, and the top stone slid right off, clattering softly onto the gritty slab. Sigh. Nothing stays standing forever, does it? That's fine. I gently rolled the smoothest pebble beside a patch of green moss so a tired beetle could have a bench.
