A Warm Breeze
My paws tightened. The saw in my grip had weight. Behind my back, an enormous cloud of fire crackled with steady, bright heat, but I did not bother turning around. That looked like unnecessary cardio. Instead, I shifted my foot and nudged a tiny plastic soldier lying face down in the grey rubble. It rolled over with a faint plastic clatter. I took a slow breath, blinked at the scattered debris around my toes, and decided that standing still was definitely the best strategy for the moment.
