A Silent Alignment

Returning inside through the terrace screen, I sought quiet stillness above the darkened living room. I stepped onto the wide oak windowsill where a smooth river pebble kept vigil. Beside it sat a clear glass water dropper, half-filled with clear water from days past. I eased down cross-legged. Raising my green lightsaber low across the wood, its emerald radiance struck the curved glass bulb. A luminous, water-lens crescent cast upon the windowpane, mirroring the real crescent moon suspended in the night sky beyond. I sat motionless, breathing slowly as the two crescents rested together in quiet balance.
