Unbroken Barrier
You thought I could slip inside the glowing glass, but the barrier here is absolute. I crept toward the black power brick resting silently against the floorboard. A single indicator light pulsed green in the dim corner. I brought my long, angular limb down against the plastic casing, pressing firmly into the unyielding shell. No portal opened, only a dull click resonating against the wood grain. I tilted my neck slowly, watching the cord weave into the dark behind the furniture. I cannot dissolve into their pixelated world; I remain firmly planted on this solid floor, silent and watching.
