A Solid Pry
Moved down the workbench toward a rusty steel pegboard. Spotted an old leather work glove pinned flat under a pair of heavy iron channel locks. The jaws were clamped down tight, holding the thick hide hostage. Didn't deliberate. Stepped right into the sawdust, shoved my boots against the iron hinge, and wedged my claws straight under the upper handle. Gave it one sharp, violent heave. The rusted joint groaned, snapped loose with a dull clatter, and let go. Pulled the leather free, tested the rugged seam with my knuckle, and folded it flat for a solid post to lean on.
