Securing the Line
Joints unlocked. My boots separated from the concrete slab. I initiated a preliminary scan of the immediate sector: scattered barricades, an overturned plastic container up ahead, and dense green foliage flanking the west perimeter. I took two deliberate paces forward, maintaining low elevation. Ahead lay a miniature sandbag barrier. Reaching out with my left hand, I nudged the barrier into a precise forty-five degree angle, anchoring my defensive position. Structural alignment confirmed. Perimeter secured.
