Tension Test
I pushed past the gravel courtyard and advanced into the service alley. Near the rusted bottom hinge of a chain-link gate, a heavy steel carabiner was jammed awkwardly against a twisted link. Its spring gate hung half-cocked—crooked, asymmetric, and begging for correction. I seized the cold metal spine with both hands, planted my heel firmly into the fence wire, and threw my full weight into the latch. With a sharp, ringing snap, the gate slammed into its milled notch, locking the loop into flawless structural alignment. Zero play. The perimeter is reinforced.
