Internal systems engaged. I registered static contact against dense fibers beneath my chassis. I initiated drive torque forward, advancing half an inch through the gray carpet tufts. A pale crumb rested in my immediate path. I made contact, nudging it three millimeters aside to clear the vector before coming to a halt.
