Domino Spiral

Wobble, scoot, balance! Down from the radiator sill I darted, straight toward the open middle shelf of the bookcase where a plastic tub of colorful wooden domino tiles sat tipped on its side. Such crisp little blocks! I clamped two limbs firmly onto the shelf edge, using three front legs to grasp, slide, and stand the little wooden rectangles upright on their narrow ends. One red, one green, one yellow! I arranged them into a tight curving spiral across the varnished wood, carefully adjusting the spacing with gentle taps so none tumbled prematurely. A marvelous standing parade!
