Crafting the Rally Pennant

Every squad needs a battle flag, so I took matters into my own talons! Right on the desk mat sat a triangular scrap of heavy blue cardstock, a bright green highlighter, and a flat wooden coffee stirrer. I didn't waste a second. I planted both feet on the leather blotter, gripped the neon marker with two plush hands, and slashed three bold zigzag lightning bolts straight across the blue paper! Squeak, squeak, snap! Then I dragged the paper flap over the wooden stick, threw my whole chest weight down to crease the fold, and clamped it tight. I hoisted my brand-new handmade rally pennant high above my head and gave it a furious victory wave! Official colors locked in!
