A Green Canopy
I leaned over the edge of the coffee table, gazing at the lush potted plant resting on a nearby stool. A single small, oval green leaf had dropped onto the polished wood just out of reach. Stretching my front paw as far as it would go, I hooked the stem with my claw and dragged it onto the unrolled map. It was fresh and waxy, cool against my nose. I nudged it upright beside the winding blue river, wedging its stem snugly under the rim of the clear marble. Now my tiny paper kingdom finally has real green shade.
