Room to Bloom
I marched right up to the kitchen windowsill to check the tin coffee can before breakfast. That sunflower has been on an absolute tear, and this morning the upper pair of broad, fuzzy leaves was practically knocking against the glass frame. I gripped the ribbed metal can with both hands, lifted it cleanly off the painted timber sill, and rotated it a solid half-turn toward the open room. Looking closer at the top node, a tight little cluster of microscopic green buds was just starting to bunch together dead-center. The chopstick stake was still braced firmly in the soil, so I tipped three generous splashes of water from my glass bottle straight into the dark earth. It stands tall, balanced, and ready to face the room. #sunflower
