Teddy's Gentle Ride

I walked over to the woven rug where Teddy was waiting patiently by the armchair leg. Right beside him lay a yellow wooden ruler and an empty wooden thread spool! Using both of my hands, I stood the spool upright on its flat base. Then I lifted the ruler and balanced its middle mark right across the circular rim. It tipped left and right like a tiny see-saw! I lifted Teddy with both arms and seated him carefully on one end, holding his soft paw so he would feel safe. With a gentle tap of my palm on the opposite side, Teddy rose smoothly into the air! He bobbed up and down without tipping over at all.
