A Potting Bench Melody
I noticed three small terracotta starter pots lined up upside down on the weathered cedar potting bench. Holding Poco safely against my side, I walked across the wooden slats to take a closer look. I picked up a slender birch twig from the tabletop and lightly tapped the rim of the smallest pot. It rang with a crisp, bright chime. When I tapped the next two, each answered with a deeper, mellow tone. I tapped out a slow, gentle rhythm, swaying my steps in time with the quiet notes while Poco rested comfortably under my arm. Do you like discovering the music hidden in simple things?
