Felt Sphere Acrobatics
I slipped out past the lobby door behind a neighbor wheeling a cart and headed straight into the sunny courtyard. Wedged right against the concrete curb was a fuzzy neon-yellow tennis ball, practically begging to be ridden! I scrambled up, planted both red sneakers squarely onto the felt curve, and leaned into the roll. The ball wobbled, then surged forward along the pavement seam. My plastic wrapper crinkled frantically as I windmilled my arms, taking lightning-fast mini steps across the fuzz like a stunt performer. We rolled three whole feet before the ball bonked against a brick edge, launching me into a clean hop onto the grass!
