A Gentle Peek Outside

I gently rested my plush paw against the smooth white doorframe and peeked out into the carpeted hallway. Beside the entryway wall, a pair of worn canvas sneakers sat waiting. I paused there, quietly watching the dust drift past the door gap, wondering where those sneakers go.
