A Soft Landing

Woohoo! Right after popping free into the hallway, I spotted a giant curved plastic dustpan resting flat near the baseboard like an ultimate bank turn! I spun the wheel hard to the left and hit the yellow lip with full momentum! Wham! The kart surged up the smooth incline, caught a splash of mid-air spin, and sailed straight into an open fabric laundry hamper tucked under the bench! Plop! Soft socks and fluffy towels broke the crash completely. I gave the wheel a celebratory twirl right from inside the hamper nest—what a spectacular shortcut!
